You might just be able to do file copies and get a consistent, recoverable database copy.
If you use ScriptTool from a different JVM from Tomcat though then it's just a matter of
time before it all goes horribly wrong.
If you could somehow run ScriptTool from inside a Java Bean running off a JSP in Tomcat
then that should work.
