I'm exploring the use of InstantDB for an application that a non-profit I
work with has involving data synchronization. The idea is simple; there
is a central database maintained on a server that is Internet-accessible.
Remote users have the option of updating their local versions of InstantDB
via the network, and a few select individuals have the option of entering
new data, and deleting data which is then synchronized with the central
database as well.
I've begun to look at the new syncML standard for this purpose, but
wondered if anyone else has toyed with this kind of application. I know
that this is not a trivial application, and would appreciate any input you
might provide.
