Yes - you still have to access InstantDB from a single virtual machine. See
http://instantdb.enhydra.org/software/documentation/warnings.html
for more details. However, if you perform only reads then, yes, multiple
JVMs ought to work. You may want to make your database files readonly though
(using normal chmod etc.) just to be absolutely safe.

Subject: Multi User access to instantDB
Hi,
We are working on a project which require large (mostly read-only) data. The
version that come with JRun 2.3.3 warns against accessing the instantDB
database from multiple VMs. Can you clarify the following:
a) Does the latest version of instantDB have the same limitations ?
b) If the limitation still exist: Can I access the DB for read-only access
from multiple VM's without risking file corruption ?
Thanks in Advance
Yair Lenga
