Unfortunately there's no simple way to alter the size of a column in InstantDB. Selecting into a temporary table, dropping, and then recreating is one alternative to exporting and reimporting.

Subject: InstantDB: alter column?
Hi List,
I'm using the combination of enhydra 3.0.1 and instandb 3.13 in an
intranet-project and I really like it.
Now it's nessaccary to enlarge the size of a column. How can i do this?
I tried different
variations of the 'alter table' statement with the 'sample' program but
without success.
Any hints? Do I have to export the data, create a new database und
re-import the data?
How would I do that?
TIA
Ulrich
