Your mail forced me to look closer...
Actually: can't send preparedStatement was my exception !!! (real 
sorry for the pollution) which was not well undressed. It turned out 
it was again that  awkward non-existing column 0 thing... (JDBC still 
tantalizes me how old it looks).

Indeed my code was broken... and now I fixed it completely. This 
package should be online sometime from now, I'll announce it...
