Hey Paul,
See the in the doc under "Reference://Database Properties".
Try setting the "recoveryPolicy"=1 in the .prp file

Subject: InstantDB: Trying to get automatic recovery
Hi all,
I'm using InstantDB for servletUsage.
From time to time, my DB is corrupted and still the db shows the
prompt for recovery. Being a servlet, no-one should answer the
question, is there a programmatic way to make such a thing ??
Thanks.
Paul
