Enhydra Enterprise passed a functional milestone today! So, we named it as Enhydra Enterprise 4.0 Alpha Release 0 and created a binaries tar distribution - see http://www.enhydra.org/software/enhydraEnterprise/downloads/index.html This release is the first combined build of the new: · Enhydra MultiServer (EMS), · Enhydra Name Service (ENS), · Enhydra Web Container Service (EWS), and · Enhydra JOnAS Service (EJS). This release is not intended to be feature-complete. This release is intended only for use by experimental service builders, for initial quality engineering work, and as a concrete example for architectural discussions. But, it runs! It comes with a brief release note (docs/EnterpriseReleaseNotes.html). It comes with an example, in which a servlet manages a transaction (using the JOnAS Transaction Manager) within which the servlet finds and uses JOnAS components.
