Folks,

    As many of you are aware, one of the significant
differentiators of the Enhydra Application Server is the XMLC
technology. With it you can use the industry standard DOM
structures to completely separate the developer from the designer
and it allows for localization of the presentation layer for
different
display devices or locales. Over that past year the adoption of
XMLC
has been tremendous and we have had many requests to make it
easier
to download and use on platforms other than Enhydra. One of the
latest initiatives is to equip XMLC with a MVC (Model, View,
Control) framework and GUI component library for commonly
required functionality (e.g. table building). This initiative is
call "Rocks", named after the primary tool of Otters! With this
in mind and as we broaden the Enhydra.org umbrella we would like
to announce the creation of a new site (http://xmlc.enhydra.org/)
and new mail list (xmlc@enhydra.org) dedicated to the future
development and discussion of this exciting Open Source XMLC
technology.

    Why not join in the fun and subscribe to the new mail list
and help XMLC get rid of JSPs for good!
