InstantDB: IDB userid/password

Hi,

I just learned from a previous recent posting that any
userid/password passed to getConnection are ignored by IDB.
This answers my question.

Sorry for unnecessarily polluting the airwaves.

---------------------------------original posting

Hello,

When opening a database connection using this getConnection
signature:

   Connection c=DriverManager.getConnection(<URL>,
                                            <userid>,
                                            <password>);

Does anyone know what IDB validates the userid and password
against? I am essentially trying to understand how IDB
uses these values. It seems to blindly accept any random
string values.

Thanks!
Bregitte
